The Policing Authority says it's not happy with the information An Garda Síochána has handed over in relation to the breath test scandal.
It emerged last week that thousands of drivers have been wrongly brought to court over motoring offences, while the number of breath tests that have carried out have been exaggerated by around a million.
In a statement released this evening, The Policing Authority says it hasn't yet been provided with the full internal reports from Gardaí into the current issues.
"Despite questioning over several months, the Authority has not yet been provided with the full internal reports or indeed a clear sense of how these matters have been handled to date within the Garda Síochána or the status and content of the audits which have been undertaken", the statement read.
The Authority says it will continue to play its part in both the proposed external investigation into these specific matters and the independent root and branch review of the Garda Síochána.
