Hundreds of new building jobs have been announced today after the contract to redevelop Boland's Mill was awarded to BAM Ireland.
Three new landmark buildings will be constructed alongside the old mill which is a protected structure due to its significance in the Easter Rising of 1916.
Mark Reynolds from Savills says when the cranes have left and the mill warehouses are restored there'll be offices, shops as well as apartments and a public space.
"This plaza will also have a connection out onto the Ringsend road via a walkway and bridge."
Construction is due to be completed in 2018.
