If you know someone who lives abroad, they may be able to have a say on who our president is.
A referendum is to be held to allow Irish citizens living outside of Ireland to vote in Irish presidential elections.
At the Irish Memorial in Philadelphia today, Enda Kenny announced a referendum is on it's way.
There's no word yet, however, of exactly what criteria would apply - but it will mean extending the right to vote to hundreds of thousands, if not a million more, of Irish abroad.
This decision is in line with recommendations made by the Convention on the Constitution in a report they made four years ago.
If the referendum is passed, the voting registration process will have to become more modern.
