A new report shows children in Ireland are smoking and drinking less, but self-harm is still a worry.
The State of the Nation's Children Report is a mixed picture.
It shows that 9 in 10 say they are happy with their lives. Kids here are smoking, drinking and using cannabis less and communicating with their parents more.
However many still struggle day to day with more than 1 in 10 living in poverty and worrying levels of self-harm, particularly among girls.
There are signs of rising stress levels with many young people suffering from depression and anxiety.
But kids here are also nearing the top of a world league table for daily physical activity.
