A woman with intellectual difficulties was left in a foster home for 20 years, despite evidence of sexual abuse.
Two reports on the so-called ‘Grace case’ are due out today.
Grace was admitted to the home in the south-east of the country when she was 11 years old, but evidence quickly emerged of serious abuse in the house.
Despite the claims Grace was left in foster care there.
Those abuse claims are now the subject of two reports which will be published today.
They outline not only serious shortcomings in Grace’s foster care, but also how Grace was left in the home despite repeated decisions to move her.
The cabinet will agree the terms for a State inquiry next week.
