It's understood an 18 year old Maynooth University student, seriously injured last November, has been discharged from hospital.
Kym Owens suffered horrific injuries while walking back to her digs on the night of Sunday the 20th of November.
She had got off a bus travelling from Castleblayney in Co. Monaghan and was making her way to the Moyglare Abbey estate.
Initially it was believed she had been brutally attacked. Gardai had difficulty trawling CCTV in the area because that particular night had been extremely foggy.
Detectives interviewed the passengers on the bus, but the interview process reportedly produced no leads.
It's understood one line of investigation is that she may have been attacked.
However gardai were also looking at the possibility she suffered a heavy fall or was struck by a vehicle.
Kym spent weeks in an induced coma at Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown.
According to reports today she was discharged earlier this month and has been recuperating at her home in Monaghan.
It's not known if she's been able to help gardai with their inquiries.
