A man has pleaded guilty to killing a teenager who was under the care of the State.
17 year old Daniel McAnaspie from Finglas went missing seven years ago from the Blanchardstown area.
His body was found in a drain in Co Meath in May 2010.
This morning 28 year old Trevor Noone from Dublin 15 was due to go on trial accused of Daniel’s murder at Tolka Valley Park in Blanchardstown on the 26th of February of that year.
He was arraigned again in front of a jury and he pleaded not guilty to Daniel’s murder but guilty to his manslaughter.
This plea was accepted by the State.
He has been released on bail and is due back in court next Wednesday.
A second man is due to go on trial for Daniel’s murder this afternoon.
30 year old Richard Dekker from Dublin 15 denies the charge.
A jury of five men and seven women have been sworn in to hear the case which is due last around two weeks.
