We all love cake. I think we can agree that from the start. The issue is not all of us know how to bake one. With Temple Street’s Great Irish Bake taking place in all Tesco stores across the country this Friday 7th April and Easter just around the corner, we’ve put together a quick list of some easy starter cakes for you to bake.
Chocolate Pudding Cake
Chocolate is everyone’s friend, so what better place to start. Apart from the smug look on your face when it’s all done, you’ll get first dibs on licking the bowl! All the ingredients and step by step guide can be found here.
Gluten Free Victoria Sponge
A classic that everyone loves. It’s like playing Beyoncé at a wedding, getting flowers for her birthday and baking a Victoria Sponge to have after Easter Sunday dinner. Check out all the details on how you can wow with this classic here.
Raspberry Surprise Cake
The perfect mix of chocolate and raspberries! Sinful & angelic all in one. Did we mention that this recipe is good for the vegan in your life? Read how you can make it here.
These are a little different. They taste great and will definitely impress. Click here for the recipe.

This is Tesco’s third year getting involved with the Great Irish Bake and the goal this year is to raise over €100,000 to buy lifesaving medical equipment for Temple Street Children's Hospital.
The hospital has been Tesco Ireland’s charity partner since October 2014 and to date Tesco has fundraised over €2.3m for Temple Street. All funds raised have enabled the hospital to buy new lifesaving medical equipment to treat the 145,000 patients who visit the hospital annually.
