He'd been given the all clear for breast cancer at University College Hospital in Galway - but will have to undergo surgery after his tests were reviewed...

According to this morning's Times, the man was informed about the error in the past few days - he'll now undergo a bilateral mastectomy.

The HSE's refused to reveal if the error was discovered during a recent review of the work of a pathologist who was employed at the hospital in 2004.
