The Aga Khan-owned favourite Zarkava has won the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Lonchamps in Paris.

Jockey Christophe Soumillon led his filly to a super two length win over Youmzain in second.

Irish trainer Aidan O'Brien, who won the same race last year with Dylan Thomas, had three charges in the race — Duke of Marmalade, Soldier of Fortune and Red Rock Canyon — but none proved to be serious contenders on the day.
