A new era has dawned for Dublin football with the news that former Blues and St Vincent's player Pat Gilroy has been handed an initial two year term to replace Paul Caffrey. Gilroy has gone for a backroom team of former Dubs and Vins chief Mickey Whelan as well as Paddy O'Donoghue of Kilmacud Croke and Paul Nugent of Thomas Davis. There was also some speculation that Professor Niall Moyna - who worked alongside Gilroy and Whelan with the DCU Sigerson Cup team - may also be involved in some capacity. The official unveiling takes place at Parnell Park at midday.
