Dublin Oscar Winner Says ‘Anything’s Possible’

avatar3

Ireland’s latest Oscar winner says he’s looking forward to spending some time with his kids.

Richard Baneham scooped the Visual Effects award for his work on Avatar at the ceremony overnight in Los Angeles.

The animator from Tallaght was amazed at the fact that Ireland had a total of five award nominations, saying it was ‘ridiculous’ for such a small nation.

And he has this message for his supporters here: “Anything’s possible” he said.

“It seems like a ridiculous thing to say – but the simple fact of the matter is you get out there, do it, do the work honestly and you never know what might come your way” he added.
