Oh how wrong Dave was! He slagged me to high heaven this morning for my "magic chain" theory. Basically, my mother-in-law was staying with me last night and she works in a health food shop. She says that loads of people come in and, when they're unsure of which product to choose, they use a chain to decide which homoeopathic remedy will agree with their body - bear with me. By establishing a yes/no answer with the chain first, they then dangle the chain over the product and ask the chain if they should take it. Sounds bizarre, but seemingly it works! Dave laughed and laughed as I told him I tried it last night with all the foods in my cupboard and, apparently, I'm allergic to wheat and shouldn't be eating tomatoes or garlic. He laughed more. Then we went to the bookies. I thought, well, if it works for food, why not horses? Dave laughed. I won 165 quid. It's the greatest invention ever! See pic!

So to try it for yourself -

1 Get chain - any kind. One with a little weight on the end is best.

2. Dangle chain and keep it still.

3. Ask the chain to give you as "yes" signal. This may take a moment. Often, this rotates.

4. Ask the chain for a "no" sign. Often this will be side to side.

5. Then place chain over food items, herbal remedies etc and ask the chain "should I take this?".

6. Watch in amazement!
