After school in Limerick, I studied French and archaeology in Trinity. So useful! Then I worked as an assistant director in film and telly for 5 years. One day, oscar winner Brenda Fricker punched me in the back on set and I decided I’d had enough! So I worked in a coffee shop in Blackrock while working for free on Anna Livia FM reading news – it was the only thing going! Then 98FM gave a job in news and I worked as a reporter for 2 years before writing comedy for the old breakfast show. Eventually I was offered the breakast show host job and here I am!

Do you have any children? Owen who’s 2 and Matthew, who's six months. Two legends!

How old are you? 35

What’s your favourite TV show? Garth Merenghi’s Dark Place

What do you listen to on your ipod/cd player when you’re not working? The Police, Sonic Youth, Mr. North, Dinosaur Junior and everything from the 80s!

Who is the most famous person you have ever met/your idol? Stand-up comedian Eddie Izzard came to one of my gigs once!

What actor do you admire the most and why? Cillian Murphy cos he’s Ireland’s finest export and Will Ferrell cos everything he does is hilarious!

Do you have a pet? Dave but he’s not house trained yet!

What do you get up to when you hang up your headphones and get home/pastimes? Hang out with me little fellas, watch Heroes, not do DIY, talk to my wife about how exhausted we are!

Your most embarrassing moment? Asking a woman at one of my stand-up gigs when she was due. She wasn’t. Every woman in the audience wanted to kill me!

What dish do you like? Do you cook? Rarely! My wife is a great cook so there are less poisonings when she makes dinner!

Do you have any bad habits? Laughing at funerals and when people fall over. Gets me in so much trouble!

How did you get the job at 98FM? Pestering, pestering and more pestering.
