6pm – 8pm Sunday, 98’s Backtrax with Barry Dunne 

After a long career as a paperboy and the bloke that hands out the shoes in bowling alleys I came to 98FM in 1996 delivering pizzas. Soon enough I got thrown on air to talk while the proper radio presenters were finishing off their pepperoni surprise with large coke. From there it was onto the bright lights of overnight radio and eventually onto daytime. I still deliver pizza at the weekends though. Its nice to have a hobby!

Are you married or single?
I'm married to the music, in love with the beat baby.

Do you have any children?
If you've ever danced to Madonnas 'Into the Groove' or asked yourself why not everybody on the planet likes Prince, then you're one of my children.

How old are you?
I should put down my date of birth in case we don't update the site enough. August '75

What's your favourite TV show?
Sopranos, Simpsons, The Prisoner. Rumpole of the Bailey. Garry Shandling Show.

What do you listen to on your ipod/cd player when you're not working?
Recordings of Marty Miller.

Who is the most famous person you have ever met/your idol? See question above.

What actor do you admire the most and why?
Patrick McGoohan from the Prisoner. Someday I wish to be as cool as that.

Do you have a pet?
No, but I have to make sure Johnny Lyons is fed every day. (Just don't feed him after midnight, expose him to water or let him see bright light)

What do you get up to when you hang up your headphones and get home/pastimes?
Deliver pizzas.

Your most embarrassing moment?
Falling off the studio chair while the microphone was live.

What dish do you like? Do you cook?
Louise Heraghty - shes a real dish.

Do you have any bad habits?
Not any more but every day is a struggle against relapse.

How did you get the job at 98?
Pizza boy gets lucky break!
