The Health Minister has signed a licence that will allow a young girl get medicinal cannabis legally in Ireland.
Ava Barry, who has a rare form of epilepsy and suffers from seizures, has been living in Holland to access treatment.
Her mother, Vera Twomey, confirmed the news on her Facebook page this afternoon.
"I just want to let you know that we have some really, really, good news that Ava has been granted the licence for the medical cannabis and we're coming home", she explained in a video.
"I just wanted to thank everyone for their support, and we'll be home for Christmas", she confirmed.
