Oktoberfest, George’s Dock – From Saturday

Everyone’s favourite annual beer drinking holiday begins this weekend, with Oktoberfest back in action to get us into the Autumnal mood. Returning to its usual home at George’s Dock, this near-month long German festival will run daily from September 14 until October 6. This is the 10th year of Oktoberfest in Dublin, with organisers encouraging all ‘Damen und Herren’ to attend for what’s set to be the biggest celebration yet. Read more here

LGFA All-Ireland Senior Football Final, Croke Park – Sunday

Captain Sinéad Aherne fired Dublin into a fifth straight TG4 All-Ireland Ladies Senior Football Final as the defending champions made short work of Galway's challenge to set up a fourth decider with Cork in five years. The Dublin ladies will be looking to retain their title and ensure that both the men’s and ladies titles remain in the capital for another year. Tickets are also on sale from usual GAA ticket outlets, select Centra and Supervalu Stores. On the day of the final tickets will be on sale from the GAA Ticket Offices located on Dorset Street and at Gills Corner (North Circular Road). Tickets are priced at €25 for adults and €10 for students/OAPs/U16s. There are also group tickets available for €55 which allows entry for one adult and 10 juveniles. Hot Sauce expo, The Workman’s Club - Sunday

If you like things a little spicy, this event is definitely something for you to check out this week. Ireland’s hot sauce makers are set to gather at Workmans Club on Wellington Quay this Sunday, presenting the fruits of their labour and showing off the vast amount of flavours they produce. You’ll get the chance to sample hot sauces from across the country, chat with producers of the sauces, and maybe learn a bit about the industry if you’re interested. The Hot Sauce Expo will start at 12pm on Sunday, September 16, with access to the event through the Bison Bar entrance. Admission to the expo is free. Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again Sing-Along, Lighthouse Cinema - Sunday

One of the most popular films of Summer 2018 returns for a one day only Sing-Along event! Get ready to sing and dance, laugh and love all over again.

Ten years after Mamma Mia! The Movie grossed more than $600 million around the world, you are invited to return to the magical Greek island of Kalokairi in an all-new original musical based on the songs of ABBA. With the film’s original cast returning and new additions including Lily James (Cinderella, Baby Driver), the musical comedy opened in Summer 2018.
