Jose Mourinho had plenty to say, after his Manchester United side won the Europa League last night.
The United boss has been under pressure this season, after a disappointing sixth place finish in the Premier League.
However, the Europa League success secures United a place in the next season’s Champions League group stages.
Mourinho insisted their season was “very very good” and said they preferred to get into the Champions League via the Europa League, rather than finishing in the Premier League’s top four.
He also hit out at the “poets” in football, who “don’t win many titles” and hinted that he is expecting United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward to be busy in the transfer market this summer.
There had also been speculation that the game could be Wayne Rooney’s last in a United jersey.
However Mourinho insisted that Rooney could stay at the club next season.
