Transport officials have admitted they're "concerned" that Luas doors have been opening on the wrong side of the tram.
There have been a number of reports from passengers that doors on Green line carriages have been opening on the side of, at times, oncoming traffic or trams travelling in the opposite direction.Anne Graham from the National Transport Authority said that "obviously that is of concern, and of concern to Transdev as well".
"They are making sure that they are alerting drivers again to make sure that they are opening doors on the right side at stations", she explained.
Ms Graham said that "as far as we know there is only once incidence of that", however passengers have been raising the issue for much of March.
On March 14th, Luas thanked one passenger "for bringing this to our attention", and promised to investigate.
98FM News has contacted Transdev about the issue with Luas doors, but has yet to receive any response.
