What an opening weekend to the 2018 SSE Airtricity League Premier Division season!

Over 14,500 fans turned up to the five games across the country as Champions Cork City and Bohemians stole to headlines.

We’ve been looking back on City’s win at St Pat’s and Bohs’ dramatic victory over arch rivals Shamrock Rovers on Episode 2 of our Off The Ball League Of Ireland Podcast.

Jamie Moore and Darren Cleary were joined by Gypsies' hero Dan Casey as well as the Shamrock Rovers Head Coach Stephen Bradley and striker Gary Shaw.

It’s Dundalk next up for Rovers, Lilywhite's super striker Ronan Murray joined to the lads too, but why did a verbal bashing from Roy Keane leave the ex Ipswich striker with a “reddened arse”?

The St Pat’s boss Liam Buckley on their 3-2 defeat to Cork and ahead of Friday’s match in Bray.

We also looked ahead to the opening weekend of the new First Division season with all ten managers.

Owen Heary, Tim Clancy, Olly Horgan, Shane Keegan, Aaron Callaghan, Pat Devlin, Damien Locke, Neale Fenn, Stephen Henderson and Ian Ryan (UCD First Team Coach) joined Jamie and Oisin Langan ahead of season 2018.
