Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has escaped a suspension for a potential violent conduct charge from the English FA.
Brighton fans highlighted footage which appeared to show the Belgium striker kicking out at Brighton defender Gaetan Bong during Saturday's 1-0 Premier League win.
Referee Neil Swarbrick took no action on the day and decided not to include details of the incident in his match report.
The punishment, if found guilty carried a three-match ban. But he escaped the suspension which would’ve ruled him out of games against Manchester City on the 10th of December and league matches against Watford and Arsenal.
Former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher told Sky Sports there was nothing in the incident:
"The act has to be one of violence or brutality. It's not really either for me. This appears to me to be one of petulance."
