Injury keeps Robbie Henshaw and Johnny Sexton out of the side that shows 12 changes from their last outing.
The province also confirmed that Barry Daly and Josh van der Flier are facing extended spells on the sidelines after undergoing procedures this week.
Both suffered syndesmosis injuries against Glasgow last weekend.
Kearney starts at 15 with Adam Byrne on the right wing and Dave Kearney on the left.
Rory O'Loughlin is back from injury and joins Noel Reid in the centre.
Jamison Gibson-Park is at scrum-half while Ross Byrne is at 10 in place of the injured Johnny Sexton.
In the pack, Jack McGrath and Tadhg Furlong start at loosehead and tighthead respectively while James Tracy wins his 50th cap at hooker.
Devin Toner is partnered in the second row by James Ryan.
