Dozens of dogs have been seized by Gardai at Dublin Port.

The puppies were being smuggled out of the country illegally, without pet passports.

It's the fourth such seizure this year alone. 500 dogs in total have been found by Gardai and port officials since the start of last year.

The puppies found this time are mostly a Labrador/Collie cross and just 10 weeks old.

All animals are in now in the care of the DSPCA and will be available for adoption within the next week.
