A homing pigeon has been caught trying to smuggled almost 200 ecstasy pills in a homemade 'backpack'. Police tracked the bird's journey across the border of two countries.
It was stopped with a tiny bird-sized backpack strapped to its back as it flew between Iraq and Kuwait. Al Arabiya suggests homing and carrier pigeons are being used more and more to smuggle drugs.
This is not the first time a pigeon has been "arrested" for illegal activity. In 2015, guards at a prison in Costa Rica captured a bird flying cocaine and cannabis over the walls of the jail.
