A piano has been permanently installed at Pearse Street Station to cheer up commuters.
Irish Rail says music lifts people's spirits on the way to and from work and it's inviting passengers to have a tinkle on the ivories or enjoy listening to the notes ringing out as they wait for a train.
The project is the brainchild of piano tuner John Murphy.
"I came across similar initiatives when I was living in London. There was nothing like this in Dublin or Ireland so once I moved back it was my main aim to bring a piano into a train station. I sourced one, got an artist involved, and here we are today!"
Spokesperson Jane Cregan says you don't have to be Mozart to play it:
Artist Sarah Edmundson says she painted the piano in the colours of the sea.
"It's meant to represent the coastal route that the DART takes. So there's the giant octopus, it shows a suggestion of the cliffs and then obviously seagulls!"
Just NO CHOPSTICKS, alright lads?
