Finglas Garda Station has been evacuated. It's after a man found a suspicious device near his home and decided to bring it into officers.
The man arrived into the building with the package just after three o'clock this afternoon, prompting Gardai to clear the building, and put a cordon in place.
The Army bomb squad were then called in, and local traffic diversions were put in place.
Fine Gael TD for Dublin North West, Noel Rock, said he believes that “Incidents such as this show the real and present danger that Gardaí and the army are facing every day."
“It’s important that members of the public know that this isn’t the safest way to handle this sort of incident", the Fine Gael TD suggested.
The device was made safe at the scene and removed for further examination and exploitation at a secure military location.
