Make-A-Wish Ireland is celebrating a milestone this week by granting its 2000th wish.
This Friday the charity will celebrate its national fundraising day.
Make-A-Wish Ireland granted 209 wishes for Irish kids across the country in 2016.
70 per cent of which opted to go on a trip, varying from Dundrum Shopping Centre to Lego Land to Disney Land.
One in five children decided to use their wish to get something they always dreamed about, while 10 per cent chose to meet someone special to them. Five children chose to be their hero for a day.
