Kim Kardashian West says she is "so grateful" to Donald Trump after a woman was released from a prison in America following a campaign to cut her life sentence.
The model met the president last week, and raised the case of Alice Marie Johnson, who's spent more than two decades in jail in Alabama for non-violent and first-time drug offences.
It was confirmed yesterday that President Trump had commuted Johnson's sentence.
Kardashian West took to Twitter to praise the US President's decision:
Johnson's explained that she was told about her release in a phone call from Mrs Kardashian West.
She told reporters: "[Kim] has truly been relentless in her fight for me. And to know a woman who has never met me, who has embraced my story and taken me into her heart... she's an incredible woman, an amazing woman."
Kardashian West said the call will "forever be one of my best memories".
She added: "I hope to continue this important work by working together with organisations who have been fighting this fight for much longer than I have and deserve the recognition."
