Katie Taylor Has High Hopes For 2017

Katie Taylor is ready to return to the ring and heads into her next fight feeling she’s in the best shape of her life.  

The 2012 Olympic gold medallist is gearing of for her third professional bout on Saturday night when she faces Italy's Monica Gentili at London's o2 Arena.

The Bray boxer is part of the undercard for the David Haye v Tony Bellew heavyweight clash on Saturday night.

Taylor has told Sky Sports she's facing her toughest opponent yet:

“She’s definitely a very durable opponent; very tough, she’s going to come to fight I’m expecting a very tough fight.

“I’m hoping to progress very fast in every fight I want to make my stamp in the professional game so it going to be a very tough fight for me, she’s very experienced.

“I need to be tested as this level, I want to be out boxing for World titles later this year, I do need to be challenged now, she’s definitely an opponent that’s going to do that for me.”
