Hopes High Howth Trams To The Summit Will Return
Locals in Howth are hopeful trams from the harbour to the summit could soon return to the town.
They were decommissioned in 1959 but a recent viability study has raised the possibilty of their resurrection.
Fingal county councillor David O'Connor has told the Irish Times the report definitely isn't just gathering dust on a shelf.
However the local authority says the project is not currently being considered due to the costs.
There are conflicting views on whether enough people would use the trams, to warrant spending the money needed to bring them back.
