Rows of sleeping bags have been laid on the ground outside Leinster House by a group trying to raise awareness of the lack of emergency beds for homeless people.
The My Name Is campaign says it hopes the stunt will force the government into opening 200 emergency beds ahead of freezing temperatures expected this weekend.
The Housing Minister has promised to have all the beds opened before Christmas, and said they would start to become available from last week.
Homeless groups, including Inner City Helping Homeless, say "all of the winter initiative beds" should be "opened immediately with arctic temperatures due later this week."
Met Eireann is forecasting ice and freezing temperatures over the weekend, with hail and snow showers expected in some areas and lowest temperatures of -2 Celsius.
