Shoppers have described "riots" in France after Nutella went on sale at a chain of supermarkets.
One even suffered a black eye in the rush to snag jars of the chocolate spread which had been discounted by 70%.
Intermarché usually charges €4.50 for a jar but that was reduced to €1.40.
Police had to be called to deal with people fighting and pushing each other during the chaos.
Ferrero which manufactures Nutella says it regrets the violence but the decision to discount the jars wasn't theirs.
