A man is in a serious condition in hospital after after a 'major' crash in the city centre. Five people in total were rushed to hospital after the crash at the junction of Harcourt Road and Adelaide Road after 6pm yesterday.
Three others are being treated for injuries after being struck the convertible Saab, while the female driver is also recovering in hospital.
Gardaí say it's not being treated as a hit and run and the incident is not thought to be terror-related.
Investigating Gardaí want to speak with anyone who saw what happened, and have asked them to contact their local garda station or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
They are also appealing to drivers with dash cam footage to send it to Pearse St Garda Station.
Five ambulances and four fire engines attended the scene on Adelaide Road yesterday. Closures were in place for a time but the road has since reopened to traffic.
Investigations are continuing.
