An orange alert for snow and ice has been issued for Dublin. Met Eireann is warning us to expect "significant" snow to fall over the weekend.
Up to 8 centimeters is expected to fall, with the weather warning staying in place until 11pm on Sunday.
Earlier this morning, we had the first fall of sneachta of the festive season. Met Eireann is forecasting a bitterly cold day with top temperatures of just 4 degrees.
There'll be showers of rain, hail, sleet and snow.
The heaviest of the snow will be in the north west of the country where up to EIGHT CENTIMETRES could fall.
