Ed Sheeran Reveals Why He Quit Twitter

Ed Sheeran has clarified the reason why he left Twitter. Some fans had speculated the singer quit the social platform after his Game Of Thrones cameo received backlash, but that wasn't the case. 

So yes, the timing was very coincidental however, Ed has released a statement on his Instagram saying that he had always planned on leaving Twitter. 

 

Last i'll say on this. I came off Twitter Coz I was always intending to come off Twitter, had nothing to do with what people said about my game of thrones cameo, because I am in game of thrones, why the hell would I worry what people thought about that. It's clearly fuckin' awesome. Timing was just a coincidence, but believe what you want. Here is an unrelated picture of me and my wonderful manager riding off into the sunset together

Ed claims it had nothing to do with his cameo, as he said “its clearly f***** awesome to be in game of thrones”...Which eh we highly agree with!"

His Twitter account has since been reactivated, but with a new bio which reads: ‘"I don’t use use this anymore, please follow me on @teddysphotos on instagram. Lots of love’".
