There's been a major drugs bust in Ashbourne in County Meath.
Two Dublin men have been arrested by officers targeting the operations of the Kinahan crime cartel. They can be questioned for up to 7 days.
In a planned operation Gardaí searched two premises in and discovered cannabis herb and cocaine.
The raid was conducted in co-operation with police in the Netherlands and it's likely there will be more arrests.
Assistant Commissioner John O'Driscoll says detectives have " brought to fruition an operation targeting drug trafficking, which has an international dimension. This has resulted in a significant seizure of cannabis herb and cocaine and the arrest of a number of suspects. Action in this jurisdiction has been coordinated with action being undertaken by international law enforcement authorities”.
