The Irish Cancer Society's Daffodil Day take place today, to help the record number of Irish people with cancer.
The annual collection day aims to raise as much as possible to fund life-saving cancer research and nationwide care services for those with, and affected by, cancer in Ireland.
Every hour, a person dies from cancer in Ireland. Each donation from Daffodil Day makes a huge difference to cancer patients and their loved ones.
Thanks to cancer research more people are surviving cancer now than ever before. Along with providing vital supports for people affected by cancer the Irish Cancer Society has invested €25 million in lifesaving research since 2010.
But none of this is possible without the support of the Irish public. By donating you can make a positive impact at what can be the darkest point of a person’s life.
Keep an eye out for volunteers rite across the country today collecting for the next few hours.
