The President of DCU says the behaviour of some students at a college event "shocked" him.
The Accounting and Finance Society has been suspended after students were asked to complete a series of inappropriate tasks.
First years who wanted to be on the committee were encouraged to kiss, strip or break up with their partner over the phone.
The society has now been banned from holding events, and those involved are being told to take part in consent classes.
Professor Brian MacCraith says it is not the type of behaviour DCU stands for.
"Every student I've spoken to in the last few days is disgusted by it", he said.
He said "This is unacceptable in DCU, and it will not happen again under our watch".
