Manchester United confirmed this afternoon that they have released Zlatan Ibrahimovic from the club.
After only a single, but yet relatively successful season at Old Trafford, the big Swede leaves the club after scoring 28 goals in all competitions and winning three trophies including the Community Shield, the League Cup and the Europa League.
The 35 year old added England to the list of countries in which he has won titles. Ibrahimovic dominated the continent and claimed silverware in Sweden, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy and France.
By the time he fully recovers from a knee injury he sustained against Anderlecht in the Europa League, he will be 36 years old. Could the career of a man who won 31 titles since 1999 finally be over? It's a certainty that he won't be doing trials or interviews anywhere for a new club, because in his own words:
"Zlatan doesn't do auditions."
