One person has been arrested after a boat was stolen this morning.
Emergency services spent the morning trying to stop the craft on the Liffey after it was taken from it's mooring near the East Link toll bridge at around 6am.
4 people in the boat travelled up and down the river through the city centre while the coastguard tried to negotiate with those inside. Officers from Dublin Fire Brigade and gardai were also at the scene.
The boat was eventually corralled and escorted to the quayside where one male was arrested. He is being questioned at a city centre garda station.
No one has been injured and no damage was caused.
