It's claimed a Dublin landlord forced his way into an apartment yesterday to remove up to six people staying there.
The dispute with the tenants follows alleged attempts to hike their rent by more than the 4% cap and is currently before the Residential Tenancies Board.
Just before Christmas there was a major standoff over the row.
The High Court then blocked the businessman from evicting six people who had been living in his Mountjoy Square property.
Yesterday morning Gardai were called to the home following allegations the landlord smashed the door in and got heavy with the tenants who had been sleeping.
The Irish Times reports a number of injuries were sustained including bruised ribs and red marks around the neck.
Gardai say no arrests have been made and any reported allegations will be fully investigated.
