Body Found In Suitcase In Italy Not Missing Dublin Based Mum
A post mortem has confirmed that remains found in a suitcase in Italy are not those of a missing Dublin based woman.
Xing Lei Li had been on a cruise with her husband and family when she disappeared.
The body of an Asian woman was found inside a suitcase in the Italian port of Rimini on Saturday.
At first it was feared the body could have been that of Xing Lei Li who disappeared on a Mediterranean cruise in February.
But a DNA test has confirmed than it is not the Clarehall based woman.
Police found no evidence of a violent death of the remains in the suitcase and believe the woman may have starved.
Xing Lei Li husband Daniel Belling was arrested trying to get on a flight to Dublin after cruise staff noticed that his wife did not get off the ship.
The mystery surrounding the whereabouts of his wife continues.
