Aer Lingus will start flying between Dublin and Philadelphia from March.
The airline's also revealed plans to hire 900 new staff over the next three years.
The company says that 100 positions will come on stream next year with 800 staff being hired up to 2020. The move is to coincide with the growth of its network.
A new service from Dublin to Philadelphia will operate from March of next year along with increased services to other US and European destinations.
