New figures shows 99 families became newly homeless in Dublin in July.
The families include 214 children, according to the figures from Focus Ireland.
It's the second highest increase in the number of newly homeless families in four years, and the highest since January 2016.
According to the charity, a record number of 1,178 families with 2,423 children are now homeless in the capital.
Meanwhile, the Housing Minister has extended his sympathies to the families of the two homeless people who died yesterday.
Eoghan Murphy says he learnt with regret about the deaths of a homeless man in Dublin and woman in Kildare yesterday.
Dublin City Councillor Christy Burke says he knows of a third homeless death, adding that "one death is a death too many".
