New Poll Shows Fianna Fail as the Most Popular Party

A new opinion poll out tomorrow reinforces the findings of a poll published last week which showed that Fianna Fail are now the most popular party in the country.

The Sunday Independent Millward Brown poll puts Fianna Fail on support levels of 27 per cent – two points ahead of Fine Gael.

The difference is – this poll was taken after the promissory note deal and would appear to indicate that the government received no
boost in support from the agreement with the ECB.

The Poll puts Fianna Fail on 27%, Fine Gael on 25, Sinn Fein on 20% and Labour on 13%.

Independents and others are on 14% while the Greens and the United Left alliance are on 1% each.

Voters were also asked about the Croke Park deal with 37% saying they didn’t think it would lead to significant savings.
