Stephen Kelly’s been included in the Republic of Ireland squad for this month’s double bill of the World Cup Qualifiers against Sweden and Austria. The Reading defender had a public spat with Giovanni Trapatonni last month, both differing on Kelly’s committment to Ireland, but it hasn’t affected his selection for the double header.
As expected, Darron Gibson doesn’t feature, it seems the Everton player isn’t ready to end his international exile.
Richard Dunne and Keith Andews are still injured but Leicester defender Sean St Ledger, Norwich’s Anthony Pilkington and the Derby duo Jeff Hendrick and Conor Sammon will all travel.
