Myself and Lisa (my beautiful wife) had a rare night out on Saturday, we were able to get baby sitters andI didnt have a gig on so! We decided tyo treat ourselves and go out, a good night out!
So we hit town early walked about took in some of the Dubin City atmosphere, got to catch some of the Trad fest in Temple bar and browse the book stalls in Temple bar square! We paid a visit to Geroges Arcade for a good browse, grabbed some lunch in PYG which was yumit’s in powers court. The we walked up grafton street saw The Riptide Movement busking and they were amazing and happend to be playing Whelans for the Haiti gig which we later went to!
but before then we needed to eat dinner, so about 3pm we started to try book a table for later abot 7/8pm We tried Pichet the one that was on Ncks Bistro on TV3, we were greeted by Nick
and he was lovley but didnt have a table for us, we then tried Marco Pierre whites Grill on Dawson Street That was also booked out, Hugos on baggot street also booked out, il Segretto booked out . . we struck gold when we went to an old haunt in Ballsbridge al boschetto where we had a fantastic meal, which gave us the fuel to go back into town to party rock in Whelans and then we took a sneaky trip to the Grafton Lounge, which when we got to the door (i though we were gonna get the whole, Regulars only) they were really nice and apologised that they had no tables they were booked out . . ha the story of the day! We didnt mind we wanted to dance anyway!
Seriously great time in Dublin City! do it!
