Anthony Foley looks to be the front runner to become the new Munster Head Coach – Tony McGahan is set to leave the province at the end of this season. Reports say he’s told his Munster players that he’s off to become defensive coach with his native Australia. McGahan had been offered a one year extension to his current deal to remain at Thomond Park but looks set to return home instead, but first he’ll prepare his team for the Heineken Cup quarters against Ulster. Foley, Michael Bradley, Eddie O’Sullivan and Conor O’Shea are among those being linked with the job.
Meanwhile, the Irish team have a rest day today in the lead into Saturday’s Six Nations meeting with Italy.
