Ant & Dec win AGAIN

The National Television Awards kicked off in style last night in London with Sir Bruce Forsyth teaming up with Ant and Dec for a special opening number of Nat King Cole’s “Let there be love”.  There were 14 categories – Best Serial Drama was won by Coronation Street – they dedicated their award to Betty Driver – who played Betty in the soap and died last October at the age of 91. 

Best Drama went to “Downton Abbey”.  Gary Barlow was a winner too on the night picking up an award for his Outstanding Contribution to charity.  Gary organized the Comic Relief Kilimanjaro Climb and got a load of stars including Cheryl Cole on board and he also organized the Children in Need Rocks concert that pulled in over £6 million for charity. 

The Landmark Award went to David Walliams for his TV career and work on Sports Relief with Jonathan Ross winning the Special Recognition award for his 25 year television career.

Best Female and Best Male Drama Performance went to Karen Gillan and Matt Smith for their roles in Doctor Who. Ant and Dec won the Best Entertainment Presenters for the 11th year in a row beating Dermot O’Leary, Keith Lemon and Michael McIntyre.

“I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here” won the award for Best Reality TV show beating The Only Way is Essex, The Apprentice and Come Dine With Me with The XFactor winning for Best Talent Show. XFactor winners Little Mix even performed the En Vogue hit “Don’t Let Go”.
