Alan Fitzsimons on 98FM talks The Voice

We’re all behind Alan Fitzsimons formerly of the Irish 90′s boyband “O.T.T.” who has made it to the battle stages of “The Voice of Ireland”.  We were pretty shocked to see him turn up at the auditions after all these years but delighted at the same time.  Alan is aged 36 now – working the usual day job aswell as singing in a wedding band called “Perfect Day”.  It’s been around 13 years since O.T.T. split and Alan has told 98FM that right now he can’t see the band getting back together – he is concentrating on his solo performances for the talent show and hopes it all goes to plan.  The great thing about “The Voice of Ireland” is the incredible prize.  The winner gets a recording contract with Universal.

98FM took a trip down memory lane with Alan – talking boyband music videos (complete with the white slacks and open shirts), how nervous he felt before his audition and how shocked he is at the amount of support he has been getting since his appearance on the show.

O.T.T. had great success in the 90′s with 4 top 10 hits including UK hits and appearances on “Top of the Pops”. Their songs “The Story of Love”. “Let me In” and “All out of Love” were massive radio hits.

Bressie and Brian Kennedy battled it out to get Alan on his team with Alan choosing Brian as his coach.  It’s the battle stages next Sunday at 6.30pm on RTE One so we can’t wait to see how he gets on!
